The YMCA team is delighted to announce that ‘Phase One’ of the YMCA Newark and Sherwood Community and Activity Village is now completed with programmes already available.
With the charity’s 3G community pitches and athletics provisions ready for action, our team has big plans to deliver a range of exciting programmes that will cover everything from young people’s projects to adult education and sport. As an organisation that believes strongly in social and economic inclusivity, we hope that in time there will be something for everyone of all ages to enjoy at our Community and Activity Village.
An official ‘Phase One’ launch ceremony was held at the Community and Activity Village’s construction site on Lord Hawke Way on Monday 12 November. Nottinghamshire YMCA then launched its local branch charity, YMCA Newark and Sherwood, and unveiled progress on the project at a drinks reception with guest speakers hosted at Newark Town Hall.
With big plans to officially launch the completed project by Summer 2020, you can see below a provisional timescale for the project.
