YMCA Sports Programmes

We run a number of community sports programmes at the Community and Activity Village.

As a charity, these low-cost activities help us fund the operation of the Village, and offer scholarships for families that need a helping hand.


Walk This Way: Walking Football for Women

Every Wednesday, 5-6pm
at the YMCA Community and Activity Village

Learn football skills, practice techniques and play games on the YMCA Village Community Pitch! Welcoming, fun and inclusive.

Open to women and girls aged 16+.
£2.50 per session


Pushy Parents Running Club

Every Tuesday, 10-11am
at the YMCA Community and Activity Village

Perfect for parents and carers wanting to get back into fitness, or start their fitness journey! Training will take place on the brand new athletics track at the YMCA Community and Activity Village.

Open to all. Babies and toddlers welcome!
£1 per session (Babies and toddlers free)


SSE Wildcats: Football for Girls

Every Monday, 5-6pm
at the YMCA Community and Activity Village

The perfect place for young girls to get stuck into football! All abilities welcome, whether you love football or just want to give it a go.

For girls aged 5 to 11 years old

Couch to 5K

Every Monday and Wednesday, 5:30-18:30pm
at the YMCA Community and Activity Village

Ideal for beginners getting started with running, or for anyone who has taken a break from their fitness journey.

YMCA Bootcamp

Every Thursday, 10-11am
at the YMCA Community and Activity Village

Functional fitness exercises for all abilities! Please note these sessions are held outside.
