YMCA Sports Programmes

We run a number of community sports programmes at the Community and Activity Village.

As a charity, these low-cost activities help us fund the operation of the Village, and offer scholarships for families that need a helping hand.

Early Morning Run Club

Every Monday and Friday, 7:30-9:30am
at the YMCA Community and Activity Village

Open session to self-train on our Athletics Track. No tutoring included – come by at any time during the session.

£2 per session
No booking required


Pushy Parents Couch to 5K

Every Tuesday and Thursday, 10-11am
at the YMCA Community and Activity Village

Perfect for parents and carers wanting to get back into fitness, or start their fitness journey! Training will take place on the brand new athletics track at the YMCA Community and Activity Village.

Open to all. Babies and toddlers welcome!
£1 per session (Under 5s free)


SSE Wildcats: Football for Girls

Mondays, 3:30-4:30pm
Held at John Hunt Primary School (pupils only)

The perfect place for young girls to get stuck into football! All abilities welcome, whether you love football or just want to give it a go.

For girls aged 5 to 11 years old
£1.50 per session


Couch to 5K

Every Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30-6:30pm
at the YMCA Community and Activity Village

Ideal for beginners getting started with running, or for anyone who has taken a break from their fitness journey.

£1 per session


YMCA Bootcamp

Every Monday, 12-1pm
and Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30pm
at the YMCA Community and Activity Village

Functional fitness exercises for all abilities! Please note these sessions are held outside.
