Gift Card Terms and Conditions

 

Introduction

These terms & conditions (“terms”) govern the purchase and use of YMCA Newark Café Gift Cards.

By purchasing and using a gift card, you agree to be bound by these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time due to legal, regulatory or service changes. Any updates will become effective from your next use of a gift card and we will notify users of significant changes where required.

Who We Are & Contact Information

Malty Cross Limited (operating from YMCA Newark and Sherwood, and part of the YMCA Robin Hood Group), registered at Malty Cross Limited, 16 St James’s Street, NG1 6FG, provides the purchase and use of gift cards to facilitate purchases within our hospitality venue, YMCA Cafe, including purchases of food and drinks.

Use and Purchase of Gift Cards

Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

Gift cards can only be used against purchases of food and drinks within YMCA Cafe. They are not redeemable against event tickets or other activities within the YMCA Village.

Gift cards are valid from the point of purchase, or the date of activation (if requested by you, the customer, at the time of purchase). Once purchased, no changes can be made to these dates.

Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the last purchase made. After this period, the gift card will expire, and any outstanding balance will not be able to be redeemed. We will sent the purchaser notification of this expiry 4 weeks before the expiry date by email.

We cannot take any liability for the expiry of gift cards and cannot accept expired gift cards as payment.

Gift cards purchased online are processed through our payment provider, Stripe. Stripe have their own set of Terms and Conditions that you will agree to when payments are processed.

Refunds

Refunds will not be available for the purchase of gift cards, unless in exceptional circumstances. These can be requested by contacting cafe@ymcans.org and will only be provided at the discretion of the manager.

Refunds for items purchased via gift card as the payment method will only be refunded to the original payment method and allocated back to the customer by gift card (either the original gift voucher or a new gift voucher will be created)

Lost, Stolen or Damaged Gift Cards

We accept no liability for gift cards or vouchers which are lost, stolen or damaged.
