Our two baby rooms are split between ‘mobile’ and ‘non-mobile’ babies, and have been developed to keep our youngest nursery-goers feeling relaxed and comfortable in their surroundings.

Sensory Room
Our Sensory Room is a space accessible to all our children throughout their time at nursery.
Designed to promote sensory exploration, the space helps children settle and relax, whilst providing textures, lights and sounds that support the development of audio, visual and fine motor skills.

The YMCA Nursery caters to three age groups: Discoverers (babies from three to 12 months), Explorers (toddlers from 12 to 24 months), and Adventurers (pre-school children from 2½ to 5 years).

What are the operating hours and pricing options for the YMCA Nursery?
The YMCA Nursery is open for children aged 3 months to 5 years old from 7:30am-6pm every weekday. Pricing options are flexible, with full day care from 7:30am-6pm starting at £50 per day and 9am-3pm starting at £44 per day. Funded places are available for children from the term after their 3rd birthday.

What is the Care to Learn scheme at the YMCA Nursery?
Care to Learn is a government scheme that helps parents under 20 pay for childcare while they are in publicly funded education courses in England. It can help with the cost of childcare, including deposit and registration fees, a childcare taster session for up to 5 days, and keeping the childcare place over the summer holidays.
