How to Join

How to Join

1. Book in a visit

Either through our enquiry form or at one of our upcoming Open Days – we feel it’s always important families visit us first to make sure we’re the best fit for your child.

2. Submit your registration forms

One of our team will provide you with forms that must be submitted to secure your child’s place. There’s no registration fee, but a small deposit may be required if your booking doesn’t start for over a month.

3. Settling in

Roughly 2 weeks before your child is due to start, we’ll invite you both to join us to start the Settling In process.

You’ll spend an hour with our Nursery Manager, while we get to know you, your child and all their favourite things, routines and any challenges or adjustments they may have.

We’ll also arrange an hour or two for them to spend with us alone, so they can get used to our staff and environment without you there. Where possible, we would love them to have a meal with us too.

Don’t worry! Use this time to enjoy your new 10% discount in the YMCA Café, and we’ll call if there’s any issues.

Most families prefer to have one or two Settling In sessions, but we can be flexible to your child’s needs to ensure everyone is happy once it comes to starting properly.

What is a Funded Place Additional Services Charge?

Our day prices are reflecting the free childcare funding most families receive from the UK government. However, the allowance provided the government does not cover all costs involved with running a high-quality nursery service.

A Funded Place Additional Services Charge is a necessary cost to ensure we can provide additional staff, all food, all drink and spaces for that child in our enhanced activities.

Opportunity for All

Everyone should have a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become. We warmly encourage families to engage with any support that best fits their needs.
