This summer, children can enter the Design a Mascot Competition.

We’re inviting children aged 4–15 to draw a mascot inspired by Camp Williams – fun, friendship, adventure and YMCA values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.

They can draw by hand, paint, colour or digitally create their mascot and could be inspired by:

  • Adventure and fun
  • Sports and games
  • Nature and outdoor play
  • Friendship and teamwork
  • Creativity and imagination
  • YMCA values:
    • Honesty
    • Creativity
    • Respect
    • Responsibility

The winning design will enjoy a FREE Camp Williams day, worth £60, and their mascot idea will be professionally brought to life for future Camp Williams promotions.

Complete the details online before the closing date on 17 July.  Winners will be contacted by 27 July.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Promoter is YMCA Robin Hood Group.
  2. Competition open to children aged 4 to 15 yearsliving in the UK.
  3. Entries must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.
  4. Opening date: 22 May 2026. Closing date: 17 July 2026. Entries after this time may not be accepted.
  5. Enter online or email ymcadaycamps@ymcarhg.org Parents/guardians must include their name and contact details, name and age of the child and attach their mascot design.
  6. Maximum one entry per child.
  7. Submitted entry must be original and created by the child entering.
  8. The winner will be selected by YMCA judging panel based on creativity, originality and fit with Camp Williams values. Judges’ decision is final.
  9. Prize is one free Camp Williams, redeemable during Summer Holidays 2026 or October Half Term 2026, subject to availability and booking terms. Prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative offered.
  10. Winning mascot concept will be adapted, redrawn or professionally recreated by YMCA designers.
  11. By entering, parent/guardian grants YMCA permission to use submitted artwork, child’s first name, age and winning design in promotional materials, print, website and social media.
  12. Personal details will only be used for administration of this competition unless additional marketing consent is given.
  13. YMCA reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition where necessary.
  14. The winner will be contacted using the parent/guardian contact details supplied. If no response is received within 5 days, YMCA reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
  15. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
