Host a Fundraiser
At YMCA Newark & Sherwood, we know that even a small contribution can make a big difference to the lives of the young people and families we support.
Whether it is hosting a community bake-sale or getting active with a daring sky-dive or charity football tournament – there are lots of ways you can show your support and help bring communities together at YMCA’s Community & Activity Village
Support our homeless residents
If you can’t commit to a voluntary position but would like to help change lives, we are always grateful for online donations or gift contributions to our supported accommodation in Nottingham city centre, Mansfield, Worksop and Goole.
Even the smallest contribution can make an enormous difference to a homeless person who does not take their next meal for granted. Any donation will be deeply appreciated, but ideas for gifts could include anything from stationery and warm clothing to selfhelp books to empower our residents.
You can drop these off at the YMCA reception at the Community & Activity Village.
Your support makes a difference
With your support can we bring these wide-reaching initiatives to the people of Newark & Sherwood.
If you’d like to find out more about how you can get involved and help raise money we would love to hear from you.
We will be happy to help support and promote your event.
Be inspired to help
If you feel inspired to set yourself a challenge and help others while doing it, we warmly welcome any community fundraising to host an event (one-off or annual) to support our young people and homelessness projects. Why not try out one of the following ideas:
- Sponsored run for £1 a lap on our athletics track at the YMCA in Newark
- Regional challenges: Equinox, Robin Hood Marathon, Tough Mudder etc.
- Shooting basketball hoops on the multi-use courts in Newark
- Scoring goals? For £1 a goal over an hour?
- Charity Football Match?
- What about a bake sale?
