A full day of Easter family fun across YMCA Village. Get active, get creative, and explore the Village together – with coached sessions, drop-in activities, and our Easter Trail running all day. Whether you’ve got little ones who love getting messy, big kids who want to try something new, or a family who just wants a brilliant day out together, Great Friday has something for everyone!

Here’s What to Expect:
Easter Trail (all ages)
Follow the clues around the Village and crack the Easter challenge together. A great way to explore the site, take on a bit of friendly family competition, and keep everyone entertained between sessions.
Runs throughout the day

Y-Riders (ages 5–10)
Coached bike sessions on the Bike Tracks to help young riders build confidence and skills. A brilliant option if your child is ready to improve control, balance and cornering – or just wants to feel more confident on the track.
Session times: 10:00am and 11:15am

Open Bike on the Bike Tracks (all ages)
Drop in and ride at your own pace. Great for families who want to enjoy the tracks together. Whether it’s a quick spin between activities or a longer ride as part of your day.
Open sessions:
12:30pm–1:30pm / 1:30pm–2:30pm / 2:30pm–3:30pm

3D Animation (ages 5–17)
A creative session where kids can design, build and bring ideas to life on screen. Perfect for young creators who love storytelling, characters, games or digital design – and a great “try something different” activity.
Session times: 10:00am / 11:15am / 12:30pm / 1:45pm

Football (ages 5–17)
High-energy coached sessions packed with skills, teamwork and match play. Ideal for players who want to run, play and improve – whether they’re new to football or already football-mad.

Engineering (ages 5–17)
Hands-on building and problem-solving challenges where kids can design, test and tinker. Brilliant for curious minds who love figuring things out, experimenting, and seeing their ideas work in real life.

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, advance booking online is required to secure your place. Spaces in coached sessions are limited and must be booked ahead of the day.

What happens after I book
After you book, the YMCA team will email you with information on how to book into your coached sessions. We’ll also send waivers to complete ahead of time, so everything’s ready for a smooth check-in on the day.

What does my ticket include?
Your ticket gives you access to all booked and open activities throughout the day, plus entry to the Easter Trail. Non-member tickets also include a FREE 7-day YMCA Village pass.

Can younger children take part?
Yes. We have dedicated Under 5s crafts and messy play, along with family-friendly activities like the Easter Trail, games and open riding sessions.

Do children need to be accompanied by an adult?
For coached activities, children do not need to be accompanied by an adult. Our team will be leading and supervising these sessions.
For all other activities around the Village, we ask that children are supervised by a parent or guardian.

What should we bring?
If you’re joining Bike Tracks sessions, bring a bike and helmet if you have them. Comfortable clothing is recommended for taking part in activities throughout the day.
