Seated, all-weather stands open for spectators at the YMCA Village Stadia Football Pitch

To support the progression of the Men’s First Team at Newark Town Football Club, new all-weather stands have been erected at the YMCA Community & Activity Village Stadia Football Pitch in Newark. The two stands include a 64-seats outside the Café with access for disabled spectators, and a 105-seat, 3-tier on the far side of the pitch. Currently spectators enjoy watching games around the touchline, these stands now give the option to sit and be under cover. The stands will officially be opened for Newark Town Football Club Men’s First Team match against Southwell City on Bank Holiday Monday the closing home match for the season this Easter weekend.

Newark Town Football Club applied for funding which has been provided in part by Football Foundation Premier League Stadium Fund, Newark and Sherwood District Council, and the YMCA Robin Hood Group.

Newark Town Football Club is going through a thrilling period of progression, with their Men’s First Team exceeding expectations in their first season at Step 6 football, while sitting 5th in the United Counties Football League.
